This program discusses safe transfer techniques, proper Body Mechanics, Patient Positioning &
ROM. Also includes legal issues, safety & appropriate documentation when restraints are required
Residents Rights & the Law
Purpose: Present information skills and knowledge to promote the rights of the long term care residents.
Upon Completion

Nurse Aide Program Director & Instructor Training
Seminar
This course is designed to prepare the RN who will serve as the program director and the licensed
nurse who will be the designated instructor for the 80-hour Basic Nurse Aide Training Program. The setting for the training
program is a nursing facility-based program or a non-nursing facility-based program in accordance with state and federal regulations. The
focus of the two-day seminar will be on the concepts essential to the teaching of adults and techniques for preparing and
teaching nurse aides in the classroom and clinical setting. Participants will be provided the opportunity to develop one learning
sequence according to established criteria.
